Chapter 11 - Principles of Propagation by Cuttings (Chapter 10 in the 7th and 8th editions of the textbook)
In this chapter we'll focus closely on the specific types of cuttings and when to collect them, and how to care for them after they're collected, but before they're placed into a propagation system.
We'll also discuss the role of stock plant "etiolation," "banding," "blanching," and other techniques for propagating difficult-to-root species.
And, finally, we'll discuss the "secret sauce" many people consider to be the key to successfully propagating plants from cuttings - synthetic auxins. (However, we now know that the use of auxins in cutting propagation is only one of many considerations when it comes to the propagation of plants by cuttings, right?)
(Note - because of the shifting of chapters in the new, 9th edition of the text book, the introduction screens for each of the videos below will reference "Chapter 10" - not Chapter 11.)

Though now more than a decade old (published in the September 2007 issue of the Journal of Environmental Horticulture, Vol. 25, Issue 3:166-185), this is likely the most comprehensive review of the use of auxin-based growth regulators in the propagation of plants ever published.
